Rood loft, St. Teilo's

I went off for the day, today, having got bored with waiting to find out who’s governing the country.  (Not strictly true – this outing was arranged some weeks ago.)

I spent the day being educated at the Welsh National History Museum – a wonderful place, full of reconstructed buildings from many different periods of Welsh history.  The star attraction is St. Teilo’s Church, formerly beside the River Loughor and now splendidly rebuilt and decorated in pre-Reformation style.  The rood loft is stunning.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Gordon  Brown resigned and David Cameron became Prime Minister.  Out with the not-so-old and in with the new …
