Lazy Sunday

A very lazy Sunday – apart from the early hours of this morning, when I was boning up on a bit of local church history for my assignment, which has to be in on 26th April.  Since I had the Sunday off, I didn’t need to make the effort to get to bed before 2 a.m. (my usual time) so the light didn’t go off until about 4.  Sad, I know, but I’ve always been like that – I did a lot of my childhood reading with a torch under the bedclothes.

I shall be up late again tonight; I want to get the assignment more or less finished today because I suspect this week will be dominated by preparing our response to the High Court proceedings.  I anticipate a deluge of emails and at least one meeting with our surveyor (who is brilliant), to prepare his witness statement.  If we ultimately win, it’ll be a very interesting exercise – but we won’t know the outcome, of course, until it’s all over.  Anyone’s guess when that might be …
